To start off this Sub stack I should probably give a background on who I am… But. I should keep myself within the depths of the Puget Sound and remain anonymous for the fact in which it does not matter who I am. What matters is the sports world of Seattle and how the city itself loves and recognizes the sport city it is. The pacific northwest is a mecca for sports that not only nationally, but the world has not quite fully recognized its impact on the totality of sports. Majority coverage of the Kraken, Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders. Welcome.
The kraken in their second season have already clinched the 2023 playoffs and Seattle is buzzing. With Jarred McCann killing the team history lists and Vince Dunn becoming the defender of the team’s future, we have a playoff to look forward too. (Give Dunn a fucking solid contract) The Kraken are becoming quickly and truly a big-time name in Seattle sports. Let’s go kraken!
Seattle Mariners starts off the season slow but there is vast reassurance of a fulfilled season ahead. With a 14-year contract for Julio Rodriguez (JROD) our 20-year post Ken Griffey Jr. hopes come back alive. And the end of a draught to clinch a playoff run. Pitching has a lot of potential, but a lot to prove this season boosting a defense that needs keep up with the current offense that brought the city to the wild card last season.
“The” Seattle Seahawks. With Russell Wilson gone, (I hoped they got rid of him the season before he left) they have so much potential on a return to a solid playoff run that will reignite the franchise. Bobby Wagner returning to a Pete Carrol defensive mind will carry the team as it did in the legion of boom era. Geno Smith new 3-year contract will maintain the team, but I believe the hawks need a rookie too come in after a few years under the wing of Geno under a rookie contract.
Seattle’s future is bright, and that’s why I decided to come out of the depths and create this Sub stack. young players making a difference in this city and the Super Sonics in the horizon. I could not just sit idle without giving my take on this beautiful city. (Yes, I grew up here) That is all the info on myself I will give for future haters. I will give weekly updates on the sports scene including trades, injuries, and fucking Seattle dominance.
